Excellent Wine Experience
Jun 2021 • Couples
We stopped by today to try some wines and it was well worth the stop. We tried several of the wines from the winery and all were very good. Since we have to fly home we could only get a few but we were happy to have some local wine from this area. It's definitely worth a stop if you are in Rovinj.

Great wine
Sep 2019 • Couples
We were in Rovinj for a day and walked to Vivoda to buy some wine. The owner was nice and poured us the Malvasia, then Malvasia aged in barriques, called orange wine, then Merlot, Tehran, and sparkling wine. All the wines are very good quality and inexpensive.

Wine tasting in beautiful Rovinj, Istria, Croatia
Jul 2015 • Couples
Beautiful Rovinj on the Istrian coast in Croatia boasts several excellent wineries. We have visited five and Vivoda is an excellent choice. Like so many wineries in this area, it is a family owned and run winery. The wines are white Malvasia (which carries the IQ (Istrian Quality) mark), (they have a one year old (young) Malvasia and a delightful two year old. Most local wineries make an “orange” wine which (for Vivoda) is a Malvasia that spent 10 days fermenting on skins and a further 10 days on skins before pressing and storing. Every local winery makes a Teran, a local red grape, and a Merlot, both of which were delicious. The wine tasting is free, some other wineries charge and provide some food tasting samples.
