Nice, but poor elephant

We went at the beginning of April, so it wasn't too crowded, and as we are independent travellers who hate joining tours, we chose the Path of Good Vibrations option where you pay 170 kuna to take the ferry to the island, rent bikes for three hours, and ride around wherever you'd like. This gives you access to everything without... More

I visited in March, when the hotels were still closed for the season and the only cafe open was next door to the gift shop. However, the islands are beautiful and there's a lot of history that predates Tito, even though that is who the islands are known for. There are Roman and Venetian ruins, ancient trees and old buildings... More

nice trip, but nothing special actually, went by boat, on the island there is a train ride, the safari park has only a few animals.

There is really, really beautiful, you must go there to experience all of it! Tour include train driving whole around Island and trough safari park, but also if you could you need to rematch one of electric cars and discover an Island at your own.

spent a really nice day here on a tour in sept 2016. the train was quite nice. on entering the so called safari park my heart sunk. what a bitter disappointment it was. we caught a glimpse of a zebra and a few ponies. when we saw the poor depressed looking elephant we just walked away. the turtle looked just... It was an interesting and a beautiful day. 15 minutes at the sea and you are there - in the middle of history and nature. Pricey ticket (200 Kun) but it includes boat, guide (English, Croatian or German language) and entrance to all buildings accessible to public. You can go alone or with a guide. Many beautiful animals, history and... More

The place seems like a ghost town and a monument of unrealized ambitions. All buildings are falling apart and you dont get much from the tour guide. Everybody should realize that there is a far greater story behind how the park came to be and the work from dr. Koch than famous movie stars that visited the island... Worth the... More

The islands are nice but there is practically nothing to do. The safari park only has a few sad looking animals. The Tito museum is extremely dated. Yes, the nature is lovely and unspoilt but it's not worth the trip there and you certainly don't need the Atlas train to take you around and point out not very much... Like... More

The island is nice and you may have a nice promenade on the island if you start early and stay for the whole day. You may go everywhere in the woods and in roman ruins, which is really nice. But we were extremely disappointed about the personnel of the national park and the hotels/restaurants. They are typically Croatian: - not... More
