The gardens and surrounding views are absolutely stunning. The castle is a short drive from Karlovac town. The restoration of the castle continues with the museum inside a newly restored building. The museum tells of the history of the area and contains prehistoric, old Roman and medieval archeological finds. The museum entrance is 20 kuna which is about 5 Australian... More

Outside look of the castle is impressive but there is almost nothing for the tourist to see inside because exhibits are almost nonexistent. 15 minutes walk inside and outside of the castle will be all the time you will need to check it out. Great position as a part of some larger bike tour from Karlovac.

It is a nice small walk and small museum, but it gives you the gist of what old Croatian late medieval looked like. Worth seeing definitely.

A beautiful castle in the town Ozalj which is near the bigger town Karlovac and it's also very near the slovenian border (Metlika town). We came on a cold&sunnny Saturday morning and were among the few visitors. There was snow and the castle looked splendid. You can walk around its courtyard and once you pay&visit the museum (the second floor... More

Rreal hidden gem of Karlovac County. The castle is in constant renovation, they really try to present it in the best shape. The castle is located on the hill which is reached by a bridge, along the river with a stream that feeds into it. Really beautiful scenery. It takes about 40min to tour the museum and castle, although one... More

The castle is not in Karlovac but in a nearby town Ozalj (approximately 17 km from Karlovac and 17 km from Metlika (Slo) on the other side). The castle itself is visually interesting so make a short stop there if you're in the area. You can make charming photos, relax in the shade of the surrounding trees or have a... More
