Nice show with the mountains in the backdrop. The minority groups were very enthusiastic in introducing their own special practices/ culture. Well choreographer and the performers were correct to emphasise that they are not actors, but sharing with us their culture through the performances. Only...More

Over rated because it's directed by Zhang Yimou. It's spectacular because of the Snow Jade mountain and the colourful costumes. I have seen better one in Tianmen Mountain in ZhangJiaJie -- under the starry night, great vocals and the bell chijmes which is truly magical....More

It’s a great show with some fabulous music. Set in the backdrop of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain it’s really grand and worth a one - time watch. You have to pay separately to enter the Jade dragon snow mountain area and tickets for the...More

I thought the Lijiang Impressions show was well worth the time and money. I don't speak an ounce of Chinese but the art of dance, emotions conveyed, and context (as well as the scrolling text in the corner which includes English) all helped me get...More

You have to see it to believe it!! It is magical!! Overwhelm and touching!! 500 artists, 350 Degree Outodoor stage in front of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. With elevation of 3100 Meters, it is the highest stage in the world. Bring oxygen!!

I was super excited to see the show because I know it's Zhang Yimou's. I was there in July and I watched the show at noon. The stage is an outdoor, so they give you raincoat when you enter in case it rains. The theater...More

Good atmosphere, a lot of people running up and down on the reddish brown set. Will be helpful if you understand chinese and sun protection is also key. They offer a free cap with their logo for the sun, but I personally prefer sunblock.

Quite impressive local cultural show, very colourful cultural costumes. Impressive display of vocals, their powerful voices can be heard without even using a microphone, especially the ladies. I especially like the part where troops of men marching in, like what you see in movies. The...More

The show tells about the local history. Comparing to the impression show in Yangshou or Hangzhou, this show just does not worth it. Skip.

My tips if you intend to watch the show: 1. It is best to check the show times. According to English website show times: 9am, 11am, 2pm (peak season); 11am, 2pm (off season). This is incorrect for off peak season. I visited in end Sep,...More

you can buy at the entrance hall, or contact your hotel for the group tickets which are much cheaper. They are able to arrange you into a group of 10.

There are a couple of shows a day but depending on the season. I caught the one at 11am. Tickets are available at the entrance, costs about Rmb200. Get there early as it can get really crowded as the amphitheater sits many.
