I like the really ancient town. It is not as commercialised like those in Dali, Lijiang. The house still retained the charms with the old theater stage still intact. There are horses outside the ancient town. It's a rememberance of the once upon a time...More

This place is a must see Nice restaurated buildings and friendly people. Its not to big and can be done in one day

We had a bit of trouble to reach Shaxi as they were tarmacking the road which was closed. Luckily our guide was full of initiative and with a bit of trouble we were able to get to this lovely old town.

The ancient town is a giddy mix of movement, shopping, food and history, In areas where vehicular traffic is restricted, walking is enjoyable and safe. It is an experience not to be missed..

Great place, has lot of old bai naxi village to explore, people are nice, its feel went back time. recomment this place, best way to get their is by privet car, but there are public bus but have to change twice.
