Pretty far from Turpan - access only with a private driver. Small village with its special atmosphere - not many tourists. Very peaceful! Beautiful mosque - unfortunately closed. reasonable price - 30 RMB per person (no student discounts).

It doesn't matter how it is supposed to be spelt, it was a wonderful walk about to discover local culture, old buildings, deserted areas, beautiful cemeteries and grape vineyard. Get lost but try to be safe.

Save a couple of hours to wander through this ancient village. not too many people live here, but the architecture is wonderful. You can also treat yourself to a Uyguhr lunch served in a cool patio which shades you from the noon day sun.

I visited this village with my guide. We had a good walk in the village, which allowed to discover very typical places. Then the guide took me to a farm where the family welcomes tourists for a ouïgour lunch. It has been a fantastic moment....More

Toyuk means dangerous. The village is called dangerous because it is at the foot of a mountain and when it rains, the village could get flooded. Even though there was not a lot to see in the village, we enjoyed walking around to see the...More
