What a fun way to spend the day before our grandson's wedding playing this beautiful but challenging golf course her on Birmingham. The men had a blast. The Robert Trent Jones courses are always a treat for a golfer

I played the Ridge course on June 11-14. Course was beautiful and in great shape. A little tough walking up and down from paths to the greens for older folks as it's hills with lots of slope. Clubhouse and all personnel were very friendly. I...More

Be prepared for elevation changes and use a lot more club than you think on up hill shots. Eighteen hole green very elevated and need two more clubs than normal to reach green from 116 yards. Fun course to play, but take what the course...More

My husband played here during the Senior Games, and this was a wonderful course to test his skills! Lots of rolling hills and challenging terrain, but beautiful views and lovely staff.

My husband and I were disappointed in this golf course. The Marshall didn't do a good job of keeping golfers moving along. Watch out for Fire Ants. The other couple we were playing with got bit by the ants. I don't want to have to...More

This is a truly beautiful, challenging and very well maintained golf course. If your playing the RTJ trail don't miss a chance to play this course. As an added bonus their locker rooms have showers.

Played here on our golf trip...good but not great. Greens were not quite the speed of an elite course. Very playable...but not really memorable other than the first hole which has a steep drop from tee to fairway.

Loved this course. Lots of blind shots. Tight fairways and fast greens. Bring lots of balls and check your ego at the clubhouse.

We played both courses - difficult to say, which one is more beautiful - both have their specialities - and playing them is definitely a challenge - but enjoyable! Courses are well kept - service is great - the starters did not even want to...More

We played the Ridge and the Valley on consecutive days. We much preferred the Ridge Course. The Ridge has numerous changes in elevation, with lots of downhill and uphill shots. The par-5 3rd hole is a special treat, calling for a tee shot short of...More

No red stakes unless there was a creek or pond. Anything going in you'll be lucky to find and almost impossible to get back into play.

I never had a problem with blind shots, however I would pick up a yardage book or personal gps device if it's your first time. Course is beautiful and well maintained. But it is tough and longer than the scorecard reads, as... More
