Xiqian Buddha (西千佛洞)is a smaller scale to Mogao (莫高窟). Less crowd as a result but nonetheless interesting especially if you get a good guide. Please remember to use your ears not your hands as photography is NOT allowed inside the caves as flashlight will spoil...More

this is where the caves started but MoGao has become much more famous. There are periodic "tours" where one of the caretakers let in a group and see about 3 caves. Total time, including waiting for enough people to gather for a group was about...More

Inside there is a nice park for when you wait for other visitors since you at least 10 people to go. Not and spectacular as the Mogao caves. Also there is no English at this place. This is a great place and isn't that crowded....More
