On the day we visited Mt Huangshan the weather was terrible, with the mountains covered in fog, and torrential rain. But when we got to this peak, the clouds miraculously cleared and we were treated to an amazing sight. It really was worth the trek.

I've learned a long time ago that when there's a famous scenic spot in China that it is famous for a reason. This is no exception. A definite journey to get here, but all is forgotten once you arrive.

You need low cloud or clear skys as cloud on my first day obscured a lot of the view, the clear day was much better as the peaks are not close to the viewing area.
