Hun Sen sold this to the Chinese and they don't do anything with it. It has been turned in to a money machine. Note that foreigners are being discriminated here. The temple itself was originally not a temple, but a stronghold. The hill of dirt...More

We visited Wat Banan yesterday and really enjoyed it. The temple ruins at the top were very interesting, and there's a lovely cool breeze up there to refresh you after the climb. Good to incorporate a visit here as part of a half-day or full-day...More

Lovely hilltop temple with a lovely view. The steps are steep, but worth the sweat. The restaurants on foot of the hill offer cheap and tasty food.

Just a warning----these stairs are steep! But well worth it once you get to the top! To see this ancient temple was pretty amazing and there was a great view from above!

Wouldn’t like to climb the 300+ steps in the wet! Was well worth the climb to see the deserted temple, still in ruins, the restoration projects haven’t reached this far yet. Worth seeing if you are in Battambang

Pre-Ankor temple on a hill top. Worth a visit in a combo with Phnom Sampeau and other sites in the area.

This 11th century temple complex is up a steep flight of stairs but well worth the climb. It is a short drive from Battambang and you get to see the rural countryside and local life as you drive out. It was pouring with rain the...More
