+ Just as impressive as the Yangon Shwedagon Paya, this one is quiet, much less crowded, more colourful and has many trees to shelter from the sun.

The second biggests Pagoda in Myanmar, but it lacks the majesty of Shwedagon in Yangon. But therefore, there are much less people here. The intersting part was the ancient fallen pagoda top, which is still visible.

Visited as part of a moto-taxi tour. Really great to see, worth a visit. Nice (albeit touristy) little market around the Buddha. Interesting posters explaining the story of Buddha.
Definitely a place worth visiting in Bago. It is simply massive. Also a little market at the front of the temple to buy some local goods as well. Remember to tip the person 'looking after your shoes'. Remember to respect those there to actually pray...More
