Occupying the historic headquarters of Brazil's largest bank, the CCBB features an ever-changing program of art exhibitions, photography, theater, documentaries and feature films, and other engaging cultural manifestations. The building itself is a Baroque jewel, situated in the old financial district of São Paulo, and avant-garde events, such as a recent blaxploitation film retrospective, keep the CCBB on every hip Paulistano's cultural agenda.

Nice place, interesting part of SP

A charming building, different of the regular museums, which very good expositions and placed in a downtown that must visited. It's a busy place during the week-ends.

There are no permanent expositions, nevertheless there is also something interesting to see. Check on their websites to check what is on now. It is in the city center, so it is easy to find and they have a nice a cafè inside.

Well organized, easy access in downtown. I missed a Cafe when I was there though. I went to SP Harp Festival which occur every year on April/May - a nice opportunity to visit it!

One of the few olders and still original buildings from the early twenties in Sao Paulo, where important contemporary artists exhibitions take place.

CCBB- Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil offers excellent entertainment options ( cinema, theatre, exhibitions) and also has a pleasant café. It is a good opportunity to stroll in the old town center.

Right in the center of Sao Paulo, near Pateo do Colégio, is the Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil. It is a building with some architectural interest. You can find a variety of expositions and or film exhibition. It is mostly free or with very little ticket price. It may be only a pit stop for a filtered gourmet coffee outside... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro
To truly know São Paulo, you have to start at the old centre, full of history and landmarks with stories to tell. Get a taste of local food at the Municipal Market, and if you are brave enough, head to the crowded shopping street “25 de março” for cheap deals on a wide assortment of items. Beautiful buildings in this area include the Post Office Building, Luz Station, Pagé Gallery, Pateo do Colegio and the iconic “Viaduto do Chá”. If you find yourself amazed by the local language, the Museum of Portuguese Language is the place to go. Cultural centres, like Banco do Brasil’s, also offer a variety of entertainment options. Finally, if you fancy watching a Gregorian mass with organ music, stop by São Bento Monastery on a Sunday morning.
