In 2004 the Pinacoteca de São Paulo entered this other building, at Largo General Osório, which originally housed warehouses and offices. The building was completely renovated by architect Haron Cohen and start receiving part of the Pinacoteca's extensive exhibition program. On the ground floor - that hosted the State Department of Political and Social Order of São Paulo, between the years 1940 and 1983 - is the Memorial da Resistência de São Paulo, a place dedicated to preserve the memories of those who resisted the political repression in Brazil.

If you enjoy going to museums, that's the place to go. With an itinerant and fix expositions, you'll be exposed to rare paintings of Brazil. Some sculptures and a café contribute with the place atmosphere. Take your time and be delighted.

Place with many works of various authors, rooms that separate the history of Brazil told by art, I recommend the guided tour.

The building looks lovely from the outside; but since it was being refurbished, we were not able to look inside.

this is one of the most important places to see great exhibitions of modern and contemporary brazilian art. The building was a prison in the time of the dictature in Brasil and there is a Memorial for that. A few steps and with the same ticket you can visit the Pinacoteca do Estado, highlight in the art scene in São... More

This former train station building hosts a gallery for temporary exhibitions as part of the Pinacoteca which is located nearby (it is an annex of that museum) and receives very interesting contemporary exhibitions. What is less known is that it also hosts the Memorial da Resistência, a memorial dedicated to the dark years of the Brazilian military regime that lasted... More

Pinacoteca art exhibits are great and the place is worth visiting. There is a nice snack place with a view to the trees and garden.

Here and there, there is always a new great extra exposition at Pinacoteca. But even if not, it is well worth a visit. Great pieces of brazilian artists, some modern, some contemporary. next to it, you can walk and think a bit about what you saw in good park, ponds and places to contemplate beautiful old trees.

This is the Luz station, it is huge, many floors to traverse. But once outside you see the beauty of the building
