Great and imponent place to be visited. The Cathedral was built in 1774. Located in the city center, presents the same security hazards of any big city.

What I like about this cathedral is the wood work in the altar. It is really beautiful! It has been restored and looks great! It is really a work of art.

Impressive building. Mass was on and the choir sang. Church was not very full but an impressive building. Outside a lot of homeless people were hanging around but did not bother you

Unfortunately when we arrived there, there was a lot of scaffolding arround the Cathedral, but stil its beauty was revealed. In spite of the renovation works it was still possible to enter, and so we were able to see the real warm and cosy interior.

Even as an atheist, I've always loved going to churches and seeing their architecture. It's one of the oldest churches of Campinas, and its bell rings every single hour. You can hear it when you're passing by, it's beautiful.

Not very impressive from the outer side, but offers beautiful woodwork art to appreciate inside. Very mystical feeling.

This cathedral is a thing of beauty inside. You find the most wonderful wood carvings and sculptures made of "Jacaranda Wood". This is the tree or bush that you see with those beautiful blue (purple) flowers everywhere in South America. We were unlucky there was...More

Beautiful church with excellent wood work. Today when I went some renovation was in progress and they have covered the entrance and tower. Hence not able to see the front view.
