I've found Garopaba beach to be pretty and cool. Lots of people around, f&b options, handicrafts, dogs, and even cats. Across the beach there are a few restaurants. The only thing I disliked is the fact that the beach doesn't have much sand space and as the afternoon comes the sea level rises, leaving even less sand and less space... More

In Garopaba you get what you want. There are eight different and interesting beaches. It's up to you to choose if you prefer to practise sports like running in the sand, surfing or kitesurfing or if you prefer to lay down quietly to enjoy the sun and the nature. Garopaba has it all.

Full of gauchos (Brazilian cowboys from the State of Rio Grande do Sul), Garopaba is a place to where many of them go during the summer months of January and February for vacation. I have been visiting there for many years spending New's Year Eve with part of my family. The place continuous having the same wonderful views, but it... More

I went in January, it is expected to be crowded, especially downtown where the beach is maximum 10 meters wide. Farther down where the beach practically ends is a bit better but over all the experience was not the best. A better deserted beach around there is silveira.

A beautiful beach with awesome sightseeing. Its very clean and there are lot of tourists around the world over there. The price is good in the restaurants and hotel. For adventure, there are a lot of camps and you just need to pay a little fee to use the environment. The camps offers bathroom and kitchen, usually very close to... More

Crowded but with the right people. Lots of things to buy, like clothes, food, drinks, etc. I prefer to seat next to Mormaii or even further away from the center.

I am a senior citizen and I grew up going for a week on vacation in Garopaba with my family. Garopaba was a fish village that grew in a beach town, keeping a number of fishermen among its population and its old little village with a church and some building from Colonial Brazil. It developed enough to attracted not only... More

Think of an ugly board walk, add to it confusion, dirt, ugly people and tasteless restaurants and stores. There you are, this in summary is what Garopaba beach/town is all about. I am talking about the beach here, where most of the visiting C class people like to spend the day in the narrow portion of dark sand washed by... More
