this little town is where the first Portuguese landed in Floianopolis and so there is a lot of old houses and culture in the town but the beach is on the south west side of the island and not as good as the east and north beaches

One of the best little coastal strips to take your pick of some really fabulous seafood restaurants. The village is like a little piece of Portugal dropped into Brazil and the original locals are from the Asores.

Small town with cute Portuguese houses and small cafes. We walked around for half an hr. Our friends told us it tends to get busy during peak season.

A must-see if you are visiting Santa Catarina island. Full of historical buildings and one of the oldest places here. If you are around go to Ostradamus, an amazing restaurant right on the beach.

It's the most ancient place in Florianopolis, where you can feel like turning back in past. Good for a drive view or walking. Not for swimming. There are many sea food restaurants that produce their own oyster right in front on what is called oyster farms. Worth a visit for a couple of hours during the day.

This wonderful village, with its portuguese colonial houses, friendly people, located in the very south of ilha de santa catarina, is almost a hidden treasure, away from the tourist waves that go and fill other sites such as Lagoa da Conceição. Nice views from the sea and the sightseeing of the distant oyster farms, some nice car rides through its... More
