Had a lovely day driving out to Sambaqui with amazing views and the sea lapping nearly up to the road . There are many options for dining and the seafood was fresh and delicious ! A stroll through the centre a good cup of coffee after , pretty traditional architecture and a peaceful vibe . A definite must !

We went to Sambaqui to have drinks and appetizers at sunset. It is a beautiful little place and worth a visit. It feels more like a place to come to walk, eat and drink and enjoy the sights, than a "day at the beach" type place. We enjoyed our time very much.

A wonderful and typical colonial village in the island. Plenty of simple and nice restaurants, with typical seafood and fish from the island. Nice church and townhouse in the small center. Nice fishher village. Not to miss

Sambaqui is an authentic fisherman village We went here to see if the beach was nice. It is clean and beautiful but made of pebbles so it is not a beach to enjoy with children. But the fishermen are friendly and you can enjoy fresh seafood here. So come here to eat and enjoy the view

Sambaqui is an authentic village where oyster fisherman live and work and where locals and visiters come for pleasant seafood meals and lovely, romantic views of quiet water and small boats

I adore this little town with restaurants next to the beach. The charm of the colonial buildings is only matched by the people that live there. Excellent place to enjoy some fresh oysters while watching the sunset. The local oyster farmers sell fresh oysters and mussels right out of the ocean for about 5 reis a dozen :)
