Primarily a recreation area for Cariocas, the 5-mile pathway circling the lake is popular for walkers, skaters, and cyclists. In the evening there may be live music, and kiosks serving drinks and food.

This might not be where tourists hang out but Cariocas do! It's a great place to walk, safe during daylight, with great views of the morros and seeing how people live in Rio. There are some mangroves along the shore and herons and other birds....More

Great place for walks, biking, rollerblading and jogging on the pathway that goes all around the lake. (Avoid rush hour during weekdays due to traffic noise and pollution) You can catch some beautiful sunsets, dink some coconut water and rent paddle boats to go out...More

In the back of Copacabana and Ipanema - this is a great place to walk by, bike around, or just sit and people-watch.

It is fun to walk jog, cycle or a boat ride on the lake. There are amazing views of the Cristo Redentor on a clear day. Not safe after dark

Don't miss the "goose" boats for a ride on the lake, and the bike tours around the park. Beautiful places to have a coffee, a drink, something to eat. But they open at 4.30pm or later, al least in July. Great views. Nice to waste...More

From my point of view Lagoa is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Rio. You can also go jogging, ride a bike, rollers or walk with the children or your dog. There's a lot to do there.

Great view, perfect location to do sports and relax. Get a bike, go running, do water sports. Lots of green areas around.

I love this place! The sunsets are amazing & people come out to picknic, for a stroll, to walk their dogs or simply for a jog. It gets quite busy & still is peaceful!
