It should be included in any tour of downtown Rio de Janeiro. It initially housed the Brazilian Chamber of Commerce and currently is a museum and theater owned by Banco do Brasil, the state bank. Eventual expositions are usually interesting. Parking is not available.

Amazing cultural center with beautiful exhibits located in a renovated bank space, built in 1880, with neoclassical inspiration in the old business center of Rio. The quality of the exhibits is first class. Be careful wondering around CCBB. Recommend a taxi ride back and forth.

There was a few exhibits but they were kinda disappointing. For example they have the history of money and its about 3 rooms of collections of monies. Then they have another "exhibit" which is a history of the Bank of Brasil and its 4 empty...More

Really high up on tripadvisor but not a lot to see. Not an essential stop and very small hence the low rating.

i agree with all the answers above. it´s not safe. mainly on sunday. if you have no choice you can do it on a saturday morning because the shops stays open until 13:00hs.

Helo Berka, the Kandinsky exhibition finish at CCBB Rio de Janeiro in March 30 Th, i m note sure after CCBB RJ the exhibition will go to Brasília. Haverá a Good time!
