You can see the Imperial palms of more than one hundred years!!! Also all tropical trees and flowers. They have Victoria Regia. On the area you can find very good restaurants also.

In the heart of rio this place is a must visit if looking for tranquility. The gardens are big and very well outlined and well signposted. You can easily spend half a day here

We had a really great time here, my wife thinks it was better than Kew Gardens, I am not so sure but it was certainly very good. It's cheap to ger it, about £3 if memory served me correctly. They have huge tree lined walkways...More

The botanical garden is stunning. Offers an oasis to just stroll around visit the orchids and the Japanese garden and you might even get to see some monkeys. It’s a good way to relax after touring the city and just enjoy nature!

We are regular visitors to the Botanical Garden - it's open early in the morning (apart from Mondays - check as this may vary), even on public holidays which many places are not. It's a place to get away from the noise of the city...More
