A fantastic Musuem - free to visit on Sunday with lots of historical artefacts shown in a well displayed manner. Lovely to visit - pics will tell the story pity that we can upload only ten pics

I honestly don't know why this museum isn't busier. The admission is cheap and the quality of the exhibits is phenomenal. Almost everything here is in Portuguese as well as English so it was such a great place for us to learn about the history...More

History museum is so amazing, I was astonished. Got to know so much about history of Brazil, it was a story told by this museum with the very best images and artefacts. One of the best museums - no questions.

This museum will have something of interest for all, but especially for those with interest in history. A great walk through Brazil's history from precolonial times to present with many artifacts. Interesting artifacts and displays on everything from indigenous peoples, slave trade, independence, art, etc....More

English speaking tourists will appreciate that the exhibits have English blurbs alongside Portuguese.
