On my last day in Rio, i decided to venture out to a favela and along the way hike the Dois Irmaos peak. Daniel responded to all my messages quickly. He promptly picked me up from my hotel and we explored favela and hiked to the top of the mountain for stunning views. Honestly, he made my day and probably... More

F A B U L O U S! I have been planning to do this since 6 months and tried to convince my boyfriend in the same time to join me, with no success. However, once we got there, after listening to the very proffesional introduction / training, he decided to do it as well!! This was one of the... More

Very good trip with a highly-proffesional guide. Amazing views but hard to get to the top if you're not used to sports, but really worth the effort!

My boyfriend and I had a great time on the Pedra da Gávea Hiking hike but I recommend being in pretty good shape and not afraid of heights. Our guide Bruno knew so much about hiking/climbing/nature/Brazil history. We really enjoyed learning about the plants as much as we did climbing the rocks. Unfortunately we got stuck in cloud coverage so... More

Did the Gavea tour with Felipe and it was awesome and provided amazing views. Did it with my not-so-experienced girlfriend considering hiking and climbing and managed well. Got out of breath every now and then but physically totally doable for average people :) Definitely suggest !!

This was by far the highlight of my three weeks in Rio de Janeíro, simply exhilarating! As the Rio Natural Ecotourism advertising boasts, Daniel is an expert guide, and with the typical relaxed and confident Brasilian nature he assessed mine and my friend Gustavo's abilities on the lower part of the steep sugar loaf rock. Once in the harnesses he... More

You can take guides for this walk, I'm sure they're fine. Be advised you can also do it budget and solo, and it's safe enough, especially on weekends with families around. You get the metro to Saens Pena or Uruguai. Then get any bus which purports to be going west on Conde de Bonfim and Edison Passos across to Barra.... More

Fabio was great! He was very knowledgeable about the trail, the plants and animals. He was helpful and even brought snacks! There was no rush when we got to the top and allowed me as much time as I needed to "soak in" the sights. A strong recommendation for those who want to feel like they have gotten out of... More
