Leme beach is beautiful, a bit less crowded than its prosecution, the famous Copacabana beach. When I lived in Rio de Janeiro I enjoyed very much this beach. There is a number of nice restaurants and cafe' just facing the beach.

If you want to get away from the crowd of Ipanema and Copacabana, this is the place to be. However the downside is you do not get to see nor experience the real vibe of Rio.

Part of Copacabana but at the Northern ends and quieter. Still nice beach but good restaurant's around this area. the street one back from the sea front has some nice cheap places to eat full of locals.

We loved it here. It's really worth to come to this place and enjoy the atmosphere. It was full of locals, having fun, dancing and drinking and everyone was happy.

Great sandy beach with lots of places to stop, have a beer and watch the football training - late afternoon. Ideal after a day's sightseeing. Claen and safe during daylight hours.

Nice, calm and beautiful neighbourhood to stay when traveling to Rio. The beach is great, the streets are safe day and night, and it's close to most of the touristic places in Rio.

Dirty and stinky beach. No safety place. Watch out with thieves! I do not recommend you visit there.
