Princess Isabel was the heir of the Brazilian Imperial Throne when the Republic was proclaimed in 1889! A dear Princess to Brazilian people as responsible for signing, in 1888, the "Lei Áurea" - a law finally abolishing slavery in all Brazil! This was not enough to keep her throne! I got really disappointed when I discovered that I couldn't get in the house, Isabel princess was a very important person in the history of the country, I really wanted to see the place he used to live. They told me the house is private, so they don't let the public go in.

It's a beautiful house, but we can't go inside. It's not opened to the public. Just take some pictures from outside.
