Paraty is a historic town on the Brazil coast. Great place to just walk around and soak up the ambiance and Brazilian culture. The historic district is filled with old houses most of which are now Pousadas or restaurants. Even though it is "touristy" it...More

The historic centre is simply amazing. Especially good to walk around really in the day when we there are less tourists about and you can take some cool pictures.

Fantastic colonial portuguese architecture and it's nice to walk around without loads of cars. Best to take photos early in the day when theres less people about.

Very interesting colonial village where the tide washes the streets daily. Unique among places I’ve travelled.

A lovely small city , through the day enjoy the amazing islands with Salt III motor boat and at night there’s nothing better than enjoy what the small town has to offer beautiful buildings and amazing food 😘

For those that like to shop & dine out, there are many small shops & cafés to do so. Historic fishing village.

Paraty is a small town, so it doesn’t take long to get around. Strolling around the cobbled streets is a nice way to spend an afternoon. There are lots of arty shops around for some souvenir shopping and some nice bars/cafes to chill out in.

You can find local artisans, as well as some clothing stores and the local booze. Please watch your steps, I would recommend you to were comfortable and flat shoes.

My wife and I went to Paraty once more to visit Feira Literária de Paraty (FLIP). Of course, we had to take a walk around Centro Histórico. Praça da Matriz is a wonderful place to feel the vibe!
