Itaipu in detail: a special and unforgettable tour through the interior of the Plant

A special and full of energy visit: in addition to seeing the famous sights of the Panoramic Tour, you will still get a closer look of the details of the Plant, the architecture of the majestic concrete cathedrals that make up the 196 meters high dam (equivalent to a 65-story building).

Look for a bus going to Hernandarias and hop on. The fare was 2,500 guarani per person. Finding the... More

Very interesting visit, well organised. It starts with a short movie. Then a bus takes you to different points so that you can take pictures and be impressed !

We did the tour that included the underground portion of the tour. More money but well worth it. It was a very rainy day but a most impressive tour. The station is the second largest hydro power station in the world. The highlight of our visit to Foz

What an experience to tour this incredible, gargantuan place with a rich history that's considered one of the 7 modern wonders of the world. Itaipu Dam generates the most hydroelectric power of any such facility anywhere, and is the world's second largest hydroelectric power station by capacity behind Three Gorges Dam in China.
