A beautiful palace in french tradition. Beautiful decor from the beginning of the XX century. It's free, has beautiful gardens, but currently is closed by the current state administration. Why? Who knows. I hope it reopens soon, but I am not holding my breath. Belo Palácio em moda francesa. Belíssima decoração e móveis. Costumava ser de graça, mas foi fechado... More

Its a park to sit and relax. It just happens to be that there is always something fun happening in this place everytime you go there. Natives tend to use it for fitness excersises whilst others like to display their craft there

Only open saturday and sunday. We had the tour with the audio guides. Lovely interior and history of minas gereis and the city of Belo Horizonte. The grounds are lovely too. The highlight for me was the magnificent Belle Epoch wrought iron staircase. Definitely worth of visit if in the area.

After many days trying, I was finally able to go inside this palace. It's only open to the public very limited hours on Saturday and Sunday. You will need a photo ID because you need to register upon arrival and your photo will be taken by security, no exceptions. Purses, bags and backpack have to be left in a locker... More

This palace is on one of the edges of Liberdade Square! It is open for free tours, each with a guide to. Show you around and give you the history. They have the tours in Portuguese, Spanish and English. It has been restored beautifully, and the gardens are nice too.

Don't miss this beautiful palace, ex-residence of former state governors, of which several became Republic Presidents, such as the popular Juscelino K.
