Only a little way out of the town centre, easily do-able by bike or on foot. Because it is free for locals (there is a charge of about 30 reais for non-locals) then it is a good place to see Brazilians at play. Swimming, volleyball, eating and drinking and short walks are all available. Sunday afternoon was busy, but still... More

This is a great place, very safe with lots of services to fulfill your needs (food, drinks, buoyancy devices, etc) although not cheap (36 reais per person) you will see a lot of fishes and have a great swim amongst them!

This attraction is a nice place to spend a time relax and swiming by yourself on the river. You see some species of fishes and you are by your own.

Pretty stretch of creek at the edge of town (10 minute drive) with an approx 40 reais admission. Can buy lunch, join the locals to hang out. Float (repeatedly) down a couple hundred yards of creek. Feed the fish. Rent wet suit. Easy to get to. Pretty, but not the same as the smaller less visited creeks out of town.

A great place to spend the rest of your afternoon after a day full of adventures. There you can play football (soccer) or volley. They rent those balls there, and swimming equipment as well. The small river that circumvents the Balneario is proper to swim, and the fishes will accompany you all the way. With bars and restaurants where you... More

Nice place to relax and swim amidst fish. Not the most crystal clear water (due to great amount of rain recently) but still worth a visit. The fish are quite big and stay all around you in the water. It is fun to feed them! You can buy fish food from the vendors stalls which is quite cheap.

I think 25 R is exagerated but it is bonito everything is overprice by at least 2 times the values , you wont find any outdoor place to visit affordable here so be aware . The place is good do , a lot of fish but water was not so clean for snorkling , dont forget to do the trail... More

This municipal beach it located at a river with very clear water. As there's quite some fish, it is a very good place to do some snorkeling on your own. Safety is not an issue, as security and lifeguards are all around. The place is easily reachable from Bonito by bike: only a 20-25 minutes ride.

We went to Balneario Municipal a couple of days after Balneario do Sol. Municipal was a lot busier and the water was a little murkier. We want because it was cheaper than Balneario do Sol but there is a charge to rent any beds or chairs and there is no proper shade besides the trees. It was fine but for... More
