The church is very beautiful, very golden. According to tour guides, it is the church that contains more gold than any other in Brazil. It's worth visiting.

Wonder example of the best in baroque churches in Brazil. Beautifully maintained. Docents were available to guide visitors if wanted. We chose to go around by ourselves and were given an explanatory leaflet in English which gave the history of the church.

lovely church - with significant historical significance. Make sure to stroll the entire courtyard with the ancient Portugues tiles - I only hope they are restored before the environment destorys them.
