It's a pleasant enough place to spend an evening on way to for from Butrint, but for my money places further up the coast, north of Sarande, make for better beach-time activities. I suspect that Ksamil was once a very pleasant village, but it is...More

Ksamil is near Saranda (about 20minutes drive) and is a fantastic place to have a relaxed holiday (would recommend August / Sept) as there won't be much of visitors and then you can chose your own good spot :P If you go in season then...More

I give 3 stars to this village just only for the clean beaches and water. The streets are a real desaster i cant understand how they leave that amazing village in that way when its one of most attractive points. You dont have options where to go...More

The place... unique , you'll need to go there. The water, weather, beaches and little islands are value the full day visit. But Albanians are destroying all of it by constructing and building pointless stuff on top the the short spaces on these beaches. Stop...More

For some the Albanian Riviera resembles the Maldives and for others the Bora Bora Islands!!! Not only by the looks but by prices as well!!! So a £ 1 for a local beer, a £ 1.5 for a glass of local wine, a £ 1.75...More

What a wonderfull little place is this. We stayed in Saranda and on only a 15 minute drive there was this beachside. It was quiet, there were not many people. The beach is not so rocky. The view is great and it's a good idea...More

First off, we were here in early June which is still the "low" season, so we were able to enjoy relative quiet on the beaches. The problem is, every beach is now taken over - and I mean crammed - with chairs and umbrellas which...More

I cannot recommend going here. Narrow beaches because a lot of space has been paved to make room for cars, leaving a minimum amount of actual beach space, though garbage is abundant. Each restaurant/cafe owner takes over a stretch of beach and covers it with...More

One of the beaches in Southern Albania. The village itself is not interesting, but beaches opposite the small islands are fantastic.

Going to Ksamil for the day coming from a cruise ship in August. Do you recommend any particular beach that presents clear water and beach services?

Yes I do!!! Ask for the restaurants GUVAT or KORALI... they are located next to each other and both offer private beach sections with amazing views of the clear sea in Ksamil!!! Goos luck and enjoy your visit in August!!!
What are the better beaches near the cruise port in Sarande? Our cruise line only offers a brief excursion to a beach. We would lik to beach most of the day. A little worried about making our own transportation plans for beaching. Don't want to literally "miss the boat".

You can also stay on the city beach. It's not sand, but little stones, but basically a good option for swimming and sun bathing. And it's close to the terminal.
