Hirosaki apple park is in Aomori prefecture and will be better to visit there during the apple harvesting session during September - October. From the viewing point, the Iwaki mount is seen very well. From Hirosaki station, need to take a bus which takes about 45 minutes and to walk for about 10 minutes. It may be better to go... More

This place is all about apples and apple accessories. You can pick apples with a group or just buy fresh apples. I visited in August 2016 and a new sort of apples had just become ripe. These were the best apples I've had while living and travelling in Japan. The price was also fairly reasonable. There are a few apple-themed... More

This park gives you all you need to know about apples. There is a shop with apple-related merchandise, a cafe with apple pie, a museum of apple lore, and it is all set in a grove of apple trees. The trees are carefully labelled in Japanese and in English. There are many varieties of apples, including the Flower of Kent,... More

The Googlemaps direction to this place takes you into some poor farmers orchard and ends in you having to reverse down a very narrow strip to get yourself back out of a messy situation. Googlemaps is not reliable at all to get you here so instead, mark it on the map and then follow your own sensible path to the... More

These apples are not for export to America. Although ordinary looking, their taste and juiciness are utterly fabulous. All of us on the bus were munching away, and exclaiming over their flavor.

Interesting if you like seeing huge orchards and be amazed at the range of things the humble apple can make! Mind you the apples here are huge and totally delicious .. they are cheap be European standards but cheaper still off site..

Hirosaki Apple park is a mix of history and modern culture placed in an apple orchard. The park is popular for picnics for local school children as well. You are able to pick from the orchard or buy apples in the small store.

I visited Hirosaki a few month ago, and I am pleased to tell that I love this city. I never heard about Hirosaki since my wife told me that we should travel to there after we visited Ofunato, and it had not any problem because we use JR Easr Pass that we can use Shinkansen to go every where in... Go to the lookout first to locate yourself. Take in the orchards, the different varieties of apples on your walk to the lookout. Back down to the gift shop you'll find food to eat and lots of lovely gifts to buy, with an apple theme. The gallery is worth wondering through (all Japanese, but you get the gist). If you... More
