For those who love motorcycles
May 2019 • Couples
As the proud owner of 2 Suzuki motorcycles, a visit to Suzuki Plaza had been on my bucket list for a while. I was not disappointed. The full story of the company, from its origins as a manufacturer of looms and weaving equipment through to its transformation as an automotive leader are explained. There are practical demonstrations and videos available in English and Japanese. A large collection of Suzuki bikes and cars are also on display. Entry is free, and a reservation is advised, via their website. A small selection of souveniers are available via vending machines.

Wonderful storytelling about Suzuki's past and present
Mar 2019 • Friends
The museum really surprised my wife and me. We expected to see cool bikes and nice cars. This we did, but also much more. The museum and exhibition space sports real life size replicas of meeting rooms, one can observe the stages of care design and making, see most of the iconic Suzuki bikes and cars, get information and little videos about Suzuki's international facilities, and watch some fun stories about the company's exciting funding, rise, and expansion. Overall: very impressive and fun. Plenty to do for kids too, with play corners, 3d cute videos about car making, etc. Would recommend to anyone. We're not car buffs, but we're in general people interested in seeing how the world works and this place engaged us.

You can know whole history and technology of Suzuki
Aug 2018 • Family
Suzuki is famous with small sized automobiles, however her business started with weaving machines. Suzuki Plaza shows how the founder started the initial business, how the successor started motorcycle production and automotive manufacturing. The plaza also shows current technologies developed by Suzuki as well as mock production line.
The exhibitions are equipped with videos and/or narrations both in Japanese and English.
Those who like motorcycles, automotive can enjoy here without doubts.

The Kei Car Masters of the Universe, Suzuki.
Jun 2017 • Family
This was an attraction that was beyond my expectations. Having visited the Toyota Kaikan and factory tour the day before, I was expecting that the Suzuki Plaza would be small and average but I was very wrong. This place is large and very impressive. Located over three levels, the Plaza contains brand new production cars and motorcycles (on the ground floor) as well as the historical line-up of vehicles that Suzuki have produced.(top floor). The second floor is a learning zone with displays of how cars are designed to scale clay models up to a full-size clay model of their Splash model. There was a concept vehicle on display last week when we visited. There is a small assembly line demonstration that although not actual still shows a novice person how a car is manufactured. On the ground floor is a vending machine from where you can purchase Suzuki model cars and other gift items. To get to the museum, it is necessary to catch the local Tokaido line train from Hamamatsu station if you arrive by Shinkansen from other parts of Japan. It is only one station west of JR Hamamatsu station.Loved it.

It was my business visit. And it my luck to be a part of This esteemed group. This plaza is a history mark of suzuki group & its overseas JVs. From scratch to build a huge empire, you have to learn lot. Here many Audio/ video available to access & know about the processes & history. Shows crash test vehicles, huge galleries of bikes , scooty, 2,3,4 vehicles, jetskies engines. Also a gallery of hamamatsu city. Most important is Jet plane simulator & the car manufacturing automations..

No entry fees. It is open for all. You can get souvenirs from here.

Interesting museum about Suzuki's history
Aug 2016 • Family
We made the trip here from Nagoya. It's not the easiest place to get to, having to change to a local train from the main station then walk for around 10 minutes but definitely worth the visit. Although entrance is free you must book beforehand. Only problem is that the website is all in Japanese! Lucky my daughter speaks Japanese and was able to book for us :)

Hubby suitably impressed when just inside the main entrance was a Suzuki Katana - same model as his!

You see the history of the company when it started as a loom making factory back in 1909, and then branched out into cars and bikes. There is a small film to see and it is also in English. The robotic displays are good too. It took us about 1 and a 1/2 hours and was very interesting.

A trip through Suzuki history
Nov 2015 • Family
Well worth the time if you are ever in Hamamatsu. The Suzuki Plaza details the entire production cycle of a car and bike from the initial design stage to the final production line. The top floor details the history of Suzuki from making looms in 1909 to the current range of motorbikes, cars and outboard motors. Some really fine examples of rare and legendary motorbikes to be seen. The actual 1962 Isle of Man TT bike was a personal highlight. It's also child friendly. It can take anything from 2 to 4 hours depending on how much reading you do.
