We are consistently astonished at the high caliber of entertainment this troupe provides through costumes, movement, music and dance BUT no words. Imagine "Twelfth Night" as a silent movie: it was fabulous !!! Everything they do is original, fascinating and a great night at the theater. It is fun at 70 to learn you have not seen it all and can... More

We went with friends to watch the count of Montecristo. The show was excellent despite the financial limitations placed on such small company and yet they clearly have the discipline of any international colleagues. For purists note the many historical errors which can be attributed to either the director interpretation or the lack of research on their part. Never the... More

We are regulars at this theatre. I never know how to describe them, are they actors who can dance incredibly well or are they dancers who can act incredibly well? Whatever the case may be (and I think it's a bit of both), this is one of the most unique theater experiences you can get, and they never disappoint! I... More

Yes, the first time I went to a Shakespeare play at Synetic, and learned that no words would actually be spoken, I was.... Speechless. Shakespeare without words? How is that even possible? But not only is it possible, Synetic does it brilliantly. Now I'm hooked on their ethereal, exotic, otherworldly, mesmerizing form of dance, acrobatics, pantomime....which all understates the qualities... More

I have been a season subscriber to Synetic Theater for a number of years. They never cease to amaze me. Paata and his wife are phenomenal. And they have really gifted actors. Whether it is one of their wordless Shakespeare productions or another show with speaking parts, I am always amazed by the compelling physical performances. If you have never... More

This theater is small-ish and cozy so there really are no bad seats. So, the theater is great. I was there and saw A Midsummer Night's Dream… which was good and strange. Most plays have some level of interpretation but this one was… out there a bit. Now, was it still good, yes. Were the costumes colorful, yes. Would I... More

I have now seen two shows at Synetic - Portrait of Dorian Gray and Midsummer Night's Dream. Both were beautifully done, and the actors all flawlessly blend silent expression, dance, and acrobatics. The shows at Synetic have a rawer feel than those of other theatre companies, and sometimes it's a bit edgier, which makes for fantastic evenings out.

Be sure to see any play in their Silent Shakespeare series. It will knock your socks off. And their other offerings will expand your horizons. The incredible staging is brilliant and exciting, and the deft and daring physicality of the actors will make you swear to get to the gym more often. GO TO THIS THEATRE !!

A fun smaller theater set inside a mall. The actors were great and the ambiance was fun. The show we saw was in its early runs and seemed to run without a hitch. Waiting for the theater to open its doors it did get a little crowded in the mezzanine.

You have to look a bit for the theater - in the Crystal City Underground, across from the parking - but the experience once you get there is well worth it. Beauty and the Beast was told through acting, acrobatics, "shadow theater," pantomime, beautiful lighting, and a bit of narration. A beautiful, creative experience. The theater is only a couple...
