The simplicity of the design embodies the concept of "less is more." Such a simple design, and so moving. The design identifies people who were in the Pentagon vs those who were on the plane. It is designed for reflection and appreciation.

We didn't know this was even here. When we got there it was kind of unreal. Someone put a lot thought into this memorial.

I didn't 'get it' when we first arrived at the site. But once I googled it and learned about the meaning the artist integrated into every aspect of the memorial, it all made a lot of sense and was quite impressive. Worth a stop. Very...More

The Pentagon Memorial is beautiful, unique, and special. Read about it ahead of time so that you understand the meaning behind the design. It is peaceful and lovely! We visited at 9 p.m., and you could still access it.

A very special place to commemorate a significant event that affected many of those working at the Pentagon. A forever reminder.

It is a 10 minute signposted walk from the Metro stop. It is a small memorial but the design is really thoughtful and it hits you due to the age of the victims. I will not give it away on here.

2nd attempt Peaceful and beautifully done - respite to all who go to sit on the wing like benches or pay homage to those lost on 9/11/2001 It’s surprisingly peaceful Ok to take a lunch or a book or a prayer

The easiest way is to get onto the Metro (if I remember correctly, there’s a blue line right there at that hotel) and get off at the Pentagon stop. From there, exit the station and follow the signs around the Pentagon... More

Yes, but it's not well-marked. There is a sidewalk from behind the Cemetery's service complex (southeast corner of the Cemetery) that goes along Columbia Pike and then under Washington Blvd into the entrance area for the... More

It is open when the lights are on. It might even be open 24 hours. There is a Metro stop nearby but there is also public parking.
