I stopped in to look at hats and was very impressed with the helpful, friendly staff. And I fell in love with a handmade woolen hat that will be great in just a couple months. When I walked in the door, a plate of donuts greeted me. Nice touch! This shop appears much smaller from the outside than its actual... More

Fun international goods from local artisans around the world. I found it more fun when I'm traveling to seek the places they source from.

Nice, social store (not for profit). They are selling products mostly made by women all over the world; Tanzania, Kenya, India, and My country/Indonesia. Cool concept !

Wonderful shop, friendly employees, lots of variety. Online shopping is available but it's not like seeing the items in person!

I was thrilled to see that the merchandise was from underdeveloped countries but very unimpressed with the selection of items. There was mainly jewelry, jewelry, and more jewelry. Wish there had been a bigger selection.

Check your local magazine for coupons before you go. Fair trade market offering goods from around the world, including handmade clothes, jewelry, home decor. Part of a chain, but gives you an individual shopping experience. You never know what you will find. Staff quite nice. Unisex restroom in store.

I LOVE this store... I had to make myself leave. And to think all of the items are artisan hand made. I cannot wait to visit again.

I walked easily 12 blocks in Old Towne Alexandria looking for a gift that was unique. I found it at Ten Thousand Villages. A truly unique store. I purchased a set of chopsticks with the blocks in a gorgeous brocaded box with frog closures. The price was very reasonable. I would certainly shop there more for unique items if I... More
