Great place to escape the crowded and congested route 1 corridor. One of the few remaining open green spaces left in Northern Virginia. Great place to watch birds, walk your dog, or simply enjoy nature without the crowds and noise.

Birds, creatures is the water, beaver, beaver dams. Something new to find any time of year, any time of day. This island of nature in a sea of development is a quiet treasure and a spot that will feed your soul.

One of northern Virginia's hidden jewels. We visit at all timesof the year. The visitor/nature center is very informative. We visited with our children and then grand children. It is a perfect place for adults to explore and share nature across generation.

Great place to find local wildlife. Large bull frogs and geese are common, but if you are patient you will find blue herons, egrets, and even beavers. Walking trails are decently kept and accessible with your dog. Marshland board walk is off limits to dogs...More

Huntley Meadows has been a favorite of ours for nearly 20 years. It's a joy to visit any time of year. The grey desolation of winter; the budding promise of spring; the full-throated beauty of summer; and the sublime colors of fall are all a...More
