I can honestly say that the Old Town Waterfront is my #1 destination whenever I want to hangout with people or even if I am bored and want to do something on my own. You can dine, you can walk, you can run, and you...More

If in Alexandria, it is worth the few minutes to walk the waterfront. Connect with the history (although the boats are all modern when I was there).

It is a great place to visit with family and children in a sunny day! There are many restaurants around this area!

Nice spot to go back in history. The area is well preserved and the atmosphere is very quiet. I had a drink at the chart house to observe the activity on the river. Amazing spot.

Old Town is always fun to visit. Many restaurants and bars. Nice area on the water. Parking is a pain.

Pleasant docks for walking, shopping, dining, people-watching. Best in good weather. Good place to book day cruises or the water taxi.

Ok it was cold and not a lot of outside activities and one critique is that outside bars patios and coffee places would bring this natural attraction to life Definitely worth a stay and dinner.

Having lunch on the waterfront on our last day in Alexandria was the “cherry on top”! The sun was shining and it was just an amazing Spring Day on the water...An experience that you should not miss when in Alexandria.

It was our first visit and it was late, so we rode the trolley down to the waterfront. It’s a great view of the river and you can see the DC waterfront. I wish that we had more time to explore, lots of restaurants and...More

You can see the monument from the waterfront. It is in the distance. The only tall object in the skyline.
