While we enjoy the waterfront at any time of the year our favorite time is during the winter, when there are few people around, the air is crisp, and it is easier to imagine how important this waterfront was to a struggling young nation.

Very nice to just sit and people watch or take a boat ride down the Potomac. We took the Monuments by Moonlight cruise to Georgetown and back and it was a nice little trip.

I wished they had misters so you could cool down and cool shady sails to sit under. I'm surprised about no sells water or snacks.

A great place to sit, relax and enjoy the scenery, the people and the food! This area was alive with entertainment, shopping and an all around hopping town! Wish we had more time to spend here!

It seemed like there was a street entertainer on every corner, many different types to see - music, artists, magicians. You can catch one of the river boat tours to a few destinations.

A charming walk away along the water front. Lots of benches. Restaurants. Shops. Trolley just the end of king street to make it easy.

Went with family just to see. The street entertainers were enjoyed. People watching and an orange full moon over the water.

One day should be enough to visit Alexandria. Consider use of the yellow or blue line Metro exiting at the King Street Metro since parking can be difficult. The King Street metro area is icky, but if you like to walk to the... More
