Straightforward trip from Georgetown to Old Town, 45 minutes. Helpful narrative on loudspeaker. Had perfect weather and it can be very hot this time of year. Grandkids 11 and 13 loved it.

We did the monuments by moonlight cruise, starts at 8:30 and is 2 hours. It was beautiful weather not too hot or cold making sitting upstairs outside perfect. Wonderful recorded narration with some very interesting facts about the monuments, Georgetown, the river and Alexandria. Tips:...More

Nice activity. We took the Alexandria -Georgetown Round Trip , Monuments Cruise. Reserved nearby parking on line, arrived at the Ticket Boot, took tickets as available. There is an online option but we were not sure for our own timing and the web-page stated "no...More

We visited Alexandria after touring DC the previous day. Alexandria old town and waterfront are a beautiful diversion from the pace of life in DC. We decided to take the riverboat trip to Georgetown for a different view of DC. The river trip takes about...More

The Alexandria/Georgetown trip is a decent boat trip but is not a good rainy day activity. You won't get wet because the boat is covered but you can't see much because there are plastic windows all around the boat. The narration is either too loud...More

30 minutes to get from National Harbor or the Gaylord Centre at National Harbor to Alexandria. Nice trip with a narrative on the area and its history, if you sit inside as not very easy to hear out on deck. Great views and pleasant cruise...More

As a group, we left from Alexandria to Georgetown for lunch. One of the boats has no air conditioning and only serve water, sodas, beer, wine and popcorn. We received more information about the history and monuments from Georgetown to Alexandria, VA. If I were...More

We used the Potomac water taxi to get to various locations and also took the monuments tour. This is the way to travel around DC. We were staying in National Harbor where they have two pick up places (National Harbor and Gaylord Hotel). Tickets can...More

You definitely need to call the company. There were not any dogs on board when I cruised.

Hi! I have spent quite a bit of time on the company website, but can't figure out if a water taxi from national mall to Alexandria is included in the price of a round-trip Monuments tour from Alexandria to Georgetown. There is an asterisk that says water taxi is included, but it doesn't say where the departure point is, etc. Very confusing website.

It should be included, but call them to be sure! 877-511-2628
Is the monuments cruise from Alexandria to the Washington Harbor (Georgetown, not the National Harbor) and enclosed vessel? Thinking of doing this March 18th to go to dinner in Georgetown, but if not enclosed it might be too cold. Thanks!

It is mostly enclosed. You should be fine. Nice way to see some of the monuments.
