Great service, but the wines are just OK. Nothing special. Doubt we would return. There are far better stops on 151.

Have visited several times as they have a great ambiance and very good wines. The white table wine is light, bright, and crisp...very easy to drink and enjoyable. Staff are outstanding and interact with customers very well. Great to sit by fire with loved one or friends and sip on a chilled bottle. Very, very nice.

We stopped in here based on our driver's recommendation. The place is quaint, but delightful. The snow caused the wine maker to have to fill in for service staff, so we got an in depth look into her process. Very passionate and dedicated, definitely visit this place!

The Flying Fox has a fine wine tasting room and coffee shop. Both the wines and coffee are excellent. It is right off highway 151 on the Northern approach to Nellyford, Virginia. It is quite small, but cozy, and they have great T-Shirts. I have a light blue one with a red fox flying an airplane. It is great. Try... More

A very small tasting facility and expect to wait if you come at the wrong time (ie. coincident with lots of other visitors). For $5/each, you get to taste all 8 or 9 of their wine products from white thru red and keep your "Flying Fox" stemless tasting glass. Friendly staff who are very knowledgeable about their product and the... More

This is a very small location. The view however, is incredibly beautiful. The facility only offers a selection of dry wines, all were really good or decent, but- I like sweet wine. The server was very educated and I enjoyed the glass that came with the tasting, that you get to keep when you leave. The tasting, was $5. There... More

The folks here, a smallish tasting room, were knowledgeable and friendly. Not a big wine drinker, I actually bought 2 bottles! When asked, they gave us our next wine destination that day. Just lovely.

Been three years in a row now. Wine was better the first year, but still is pretty good. We enjoy getting the stemless glasses to take home from our tasting and usually buy a bottle or two.

We stopped on an anniversary trip, on a quiet weekday. Chloe (congrats)(and friendly dog greeted us and we did a tasting. I'm partial to lush Italians ( wines that is),medium tanins, but I found the 2014 Merlot exceptional. Will do well layed down awhile but it's going to be hard to keep it in the bottle. One may be sacrificed... More
