Many of the beaches on the islands are rocky (not bad for beachcombers!) but if you want an expanse of sandy beach to lounge, linger and swim, this is it! Not a lot of shady spots, so grab your umbrella. Relaxed, casual with drop dead gorgeous vistas of the Adirondacks. Great place for kids to frolic. Park your beach chair... More

We love this beach...shallow and clean water..quiet, roomy and the staff is amazingly friendly. The only downside is there's no bathroom..only port a potties..they are pretty clean though.

The water is very shallow although pretty clean. There are only port-o-potties there, no real bathrooms or changing rooms. Just an OK beach, really - we preferred the North Beach in Burlington, VT by far.

We love going to Alburg Dunes. Get there early - as soon as it opens - and you can be sure to find a nice spot to set up for the day. It does get quite crowded especially on summer weekends. If you can manage a weekday visit it's even better. The area is a beautiful natural sand beach with... More

No sand dunes to be found here. Pretty setting. But was looking forward to seeing some sand dunes. But the sand dunes are more like small piles of sand, protected by a fence. Disappointing visit. Also the road in, takes a very sharp left turn from a blind hill, with no signage to indicate the turn. Be careful!

I was here on a Saturday near Labor Day weekend which might account for some of the crowd. It was quite busy, and I was surprised to see that locals with boats seem to put down anchor just offshore for swimming and recreation purposes. I was also disappointed that they only had one trail. I was not even able to... More
