Went there yesterday for the first time in years. What a disappointment. Is anyone managing the flora in this place? Weeds everywhere. Nothing blooming. No feng shui at all. Really bad experience.

It's nice and shady, lots of beautiful spots for photos. We saw a bride posing for her photos. No need to worry about getting a sunburn. It cost us $3 for non-resident and the senior citizen with us was charged $1 so it was very inexpensive. It is tricky getting in and out. The sign sneaks up and you must... More

I love botanical gardens and had high expectations for this one in the city of Austin. Austin! How could it be so bad? What a disappointment. It is clear there is very little maintenance done. There were leaves and trash everywhere. Pathways were broken and uneven and presented serious trip hazards for anyone let alone children and the elderly. The... More

Nice couple of hours strolling through the park. We went the first week in April - not a lot of blooming but there are several interesting venues. We particularly like the vegatable garden that showed different ways to have a garden in an urban setting. We'll probably try the hay bale garden - the teens did not show as much... More

My wife and I went their for a plant show. The natural nature trails, full of plants and running water are so beautiful. The restrooms which can be important are clean as well. GO ENJOY.

Went on 100th anniversary day and had free admission. Went primarily for Japanese garden, which is outstanding.

Little in bloom, noise from road, however tranquil enough. Parking limited. Needs more maintenance - perhaps an increase in the entrance would benefit the gardens

A pretty nice place to spend a couple of hours. Certainly not the best botanical gardens I've ever visited, but a nice walk about for a few hours on a nice day anyway. And its location is great, being very close to downtown.

Given that admission is about $2 a person I can't think of a better attraction and distraction than wandering through this maze of gardens. Good for kids, easy on the feet and just enough unique plants to keep you focused.
