If you're in Austin, walking on Congress is a must. A lot of little stores to shop in (support local business!), great places to eat and drink.

So much to do, see, and hear! People watching extraordinaire. Feels very safe and friendly. Cover charges at some bars but talent is typically worth it.

The impressive Texas Capitol Building looms over the top of Congress Avenue giving the street much grace and a powerful focal point. Surprisingly, there are not a lot of stores along the street, mostly office buildings. It's still worth a stroll particularly heading up from the Colorado River and ending on the Capitol grounds.

This is a very cool spot and gives you a great flavor of Austin. Music, food, collectibles, artists, etc. Fun spot to spend an hour or two - I would recommend!

I love this area of Austin! I will miss the great store, "Off The Wall", but hope the owners enjoy their "pop up store" and online selling! There are other great stores and food venues, too! Little Barrel and Brown restaurant is good and Uncommon Objects must be seen at least once! Many food trucks to try and shops!

Amazing selection, amazing service. While walking down Congress from our parking spot 4 blocks away, the activity on Congress Ave was like a bee hive. Tons, and tons of smiling faces, good food, and sunshine.

If you are in Austin this is a must to visit. We went with family and friends for New Years Eve, spend the weekend plus a day. There are some very interesting people there. It is a must when in Austin

Came here on a recommendation of someone my husband ran into. It was a beautiful day and we only had a few hours before going to out hotel, the walk was nice we walked from the Capital down about 10 blocks, at lunch, strolled back and stopped for coffee. The day was very enjoyable. The downside is there are a... More
