Established in 1975 by the late Clifford Antone, Antone's is an iconic blues and R&B venue located in downtown Austin. Over the past 40 years, Antone's has brought Austin a variety of blues and R&B musicians from across the country including greats like B.B. King, Muddy Waters, Jimmy Reed, and Buddy Guy, as well as help develop local talent including Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimmie Vaughn, Bob Schneider, Gary Clark Jr. and countless others. In 2015, the historic brand was restored and a new team brought the iconic venue back to the downtown Austin landscape with a renewed focus on once again making Antone's the "Home of the Blues."

Antone's is one of Austin's classic live music venues. The interior isn't pretty though there are a fair number of tables to sit at while you take in the music. Many jazz, blues and rock legends have played here and earlier in the week (we visited on a Tuesday) there was no admission charge and the band was excellent -... More

The nights that we went seemed more like a jam session than a show. I think they cobble together musicians some nights. I have to say, based on the hype, I expected better performances.

I make it a point to visit as many blues bars as I can in my travels. I visited on 1/9/17 and was only in Austin for for a few hours so I decided to make my pilgrimage to Antones for a couple of beers and a bite to eat. First thing that surprised me was it's not a very... More

Really enjoyed Lucille White here and a second act. Good blues (comparable to Chicago, where we hail from!) Decent bar (but don't ask for anything fancy). Lots of space to dance. Reasonable cover.

I want in austin for three days and I religiously went everyday to watch some great live shows. It's for people who live soul music. All legends have played there sometime. Great friendly staff...rightly priced. Highly recommended

It was not very busy the night we went there but the blues band was very good. The Service was fast and friendly. The drinks were good and tasty.

Just caught Billy Gibbons and Jimmy Vaughan at Antone's. This IS the place to catch the blues in Austin. If this music is your thing, do not miss it.

Fun spot for live music. Small room so every seat is good. Chairs on 2 sides, small dance floor, and room for standing. $7 cover charge. $9 cocktails. Fun spot.

Antone's has always been one of my favorite Austin music venues and I like the new location as much as the old one. Great bar and stage area. Highly recommend!
