Wooded Trail Hike

As I see some others have mentioned, there are mostly dog walkers on this trail, or have been the two times I have been on it. However, everyone seemed to get along and have... read more

A great place to hike & talk! Not too terribly difficult, so it's a nice leisurely hike. Dogs can run loose & the stream is nice to wade through to wash your feet off if you're like me & always wearing Chacos :) Definitely recommend!

What I love about this place is that the river is right there and anyone is able to jump in! Coming here with family or friends is what made me love this spot, highly recommend anyone trying to just come or camp to come here.

We were out for a drive to see some of Austin. Decided to check out Emma Long Park. It is a long drive through some scrub land, then when you get to the "entrance" after about 4 miles you find out you have to pay to go in. All we wanted to do was drive through to see what it... More

This is a fine place to get a way for a day trip. A big man made lake with fishing allowed. A nice relaxing time by a lake. Very pleasant setting.

Visited Sunday July 3, and thought we were arriving early at 9:30. False. Took an hour to get into the park. Still we were able to park our truck and trailer. We set up camp to the left of the boat ramp and had plenty of shade not long after 10:30 they quit letting people in. The park was really... More

As I see some others have mentioned, there are mostly dog walkers on this trail, or have been the two times I have been on it. However, everyone seemed to get along and have their dogs under control if off leash. The trail itself was nice terrain with some elevation, a number of stream crossings and lots of trees. I... We visited the Turkey Creek Trail in the Emma Long Park because it's dog friendly -- so much so that dogs are allowed off leash. So if you bring your dog, be sure he/she is friendly and not aggressive to humans or other dogs as you'll encounter a lot of people and dogs. A lot of the trail involves water... More

When you turn off FM 2222 on to City Park Road, be prepared to go over lots of hills and curves as you head towards Emma Long Park. The park itself is a large flat area on the shores of the Colorado River with plenty of space for camping (whether via tent or tailgate). A $10 admission fee gives you... More

We used the Emma Long boat ramp over the July 4th weekend this year. It's a good ways down a winding one lane road. Entrance 'gate' is pay with credit cards or coins only at PayStation machine. Boat ramp area is gravel, unpaved. Two boat ramps are one lane on separate ends of parking area. One dock near each ramp... More
