Spent two hours here. Nothing spectacular but the animals there were easy to view and very active. A bit of a drive from Downtown Austin but beautiful scenery on the way there. Would go back if traveling with children.

Our visit to this zoo was very enjoyable. We read that the animals there were rescue animals, but were really pleased with the variety and the natural habitats they're in. My daughter and her husband are really into zoos in general, and always check them...More

This small zoo is great for getting really close to the animals, like six feet from the lions! You can feed the llamas, goats, and axis deer. They have a really nice selection and I found it interesting to read the stories about the animals...More

We were looking for something to do with a toddler for the afternoon, so decided to try this zoo. It's in a shady, natural environment, and the entry fee was reasonable. Even better, the animals are all rescued or are surrendered exotic pets. This means...More

My wife and I love going to zoos around the world and when I tell you it felt like a petting zoo and not an actual Zoo because of the size! It was just okay!

The Austin Zoo is fun to go see the animals, but it also rescues animals from abusive environments, such as Circuses or abandonment, so not only do you pay to see some cool animals, but your entry also helps fund efforts to continue to save...More

I got a Groupon for this thankfully. There weren't many animals out. The people that work there were nice. We saw a cougar, lion, wolf, some birds and pigs. They have a goat petting zoo. Saw a bear thru the walk way but couldn't see...More

nice setup, animals well cared for, love the chickens and peacocks wandering around, bears were a hoot playing in the water and "fighting" the sprinkler spray

I was glad to find a zoo with rescue animals. Fun and affordable! I would go back for sure. Also very kids friendly.
