At $7 per head it is not worth it but our hotel gave us a brochure with a buy 1, get 1 free coupon. The museum portion is a good primer for those who know little about horses. The extensive hall of fame was way more than I - a person with little horse knowledge - found of interest.

Very informative about the history and breeding of the American Quarter Horse, if you ever had one or an interest in one then this is the place for you. Finally had to drag my wife away after about 3 hours, she could have spent the day but we were traveling.

I watched this place being built when we lived in McLean, TX., just a few miles east on Rt. 66. It's dedicated to just Quarter Horses ( The American Breed). It's FASINATING!! 2 floors of beautiful statues, paintings, history & lots of visuals! Kid love it, Adults love it, and you will too. Take your time its expansive. Just ENJOY!!

The Hall of Fame and Museum offers the history of America's breed, the American Quarter Horse through artifacts and a world history time-line. The American Quarter Horse is the largest breed registry in the world, with over 8 million horses in their data base. This is a rather large museum. It is very well laid out. Two floors. I went because I have always been a horse lover. On & off throughout my life, I have been involved with horses. This museum ignited a simmering flame within me! If you even just "like" horses, you gotta go! Admission prices are very reasonable. Clean. Large... More

Beautiful buildings and art. Too bad we didn't have longer to enjoy it. We were only able to see the outside because we arrived after hours, but thoroughly enjoyed what they had to offer outdoors.

We arrived too late to visit the inside but there is lots of info and photo opps outside. We really love horse racing and consequently really enjoyed this place; someday we're getting inside to check it out,

A horse that is bred to race a quarter of a mile. Did you know that? If you come from the US you probably do but we didn't. The building, the museum, the Hall of Fame are there as a temple to these wonderful creatures which are the workhorses of the ranches as well as the more glamorous racing circuits.... More

I love riding and I found this museum very interesting; Amarillo is the country where this beautiful horse is born. Here there are a lot of informations about quarter horse, there are pics and descriptions of the most famous riders and horse. And there is an interactive part where you can really learn about saddles and harnesses. I loved it.

Definitely worth the trip if you have any interest in the history and heritage of the American Quarter Horse. The people and horses that shaped the breed we know and admire today are all on display.
