My son (age 6), and I had a great time at the Cavanagh Flight Museum, I was looking for something that would keep my son entertained, and this was it. We happened to go when there was a car show, and special exhibits. He loved seeing the old planes, and the volunteers were extremely nice, most having been pilots/veterans and... More

This is a well established collection of aviation artifacts in a region with many others. The aircraft are presented in clean settings but with little context and without a clear theme. Like many of its kind it is a collector's presentation with public access.

Went here with my 3 children on a Saturday when it was coupled with the Fall fly days and car show. It was phenomenal! I am a huge WWII fan and this was full of that era planes. In addition to wwii planes there were several helicopters and even a Sherman tank! My kids were amazed with the planes. Admission... More

I was surfing the net looking for something close to our hotel to kill a little time and came across the Cavanaugh Flight Museum. I am very glad I did. This is a very nice airplane museum. My only regret is that we were a little limited on time. I fully intend to return one day soon and take my... More

If your an aviation buff, this is a must visit museum. It was very hot that first week of August and not too many people there. It is so gratifying knowing these planes, heliocopters are... More

If you are an aviation fan (or not), this is a must visit if you are in Dallas. So many great planes to see and if available, you can pay for rides in various aircraft. The staff is always very friendly and available to answer questions about any of the aircraft.

This is a great place to take the children or grandchildren. If they are old enough you can begin to talk to them about the world wars. At some point they should have a basic understanding. The docents are excellent and provide an ongoing dialogue during the tour. If the kids are young they will have a wonderful time seeing... More

We absolutely loved the Flight Museum. Up close and personal with history is right down our alley. While we were there an older gentleman introduced himself as a Vet and told us some great stories. He gave my husband some pictures of Himself and his squadron. Priceless

Wonderful full sized, real war planes. Veterans of the aerial battles. Great place for older children who can see history come alive.
