You don't need to head to England to experience the genius of a Shakespearean play. Much closer to home is the Oregon Shakespeare Festival located in Ashland, Oregon. Every year at the end of October you can enjoy on average over ten of Shakespeare's plays performed in both classic and newly imagined style. Separate tickets are needed for each show which is held at one of the event campus's two indoor or one outdoor spaces.

We attended the play Shakespeare in Love. The indoor theatre was lovely and play well done. The whole vibe of Ashland is all about the plays which is fun.

This is a great location it has different plays for all tastes. The open air theater is great, which ever theatre you chose there is not a bad seat. You better walk to the theater because parking is an issue.

This is my 37th consecutive season at the Festival, and there have been plenty of changes in all those years for sure. Lots of ups and downs, just like with your favorite ball club. Most years I've gone twice, and a few years three times...More

It was a great experience. There is not a bad seat in the Thomas Theater. Well done. Good acting. We sat in the back row and actually preferred being there.

I went to the festival not knowing much about its backstory, but have to say I saw the best productions of theater in general, as well as of Shakespeare I've ever seen. Ashland is generally also a nice and quaint town, would recommend going if...More
