I went to Susan's beach yoga class while in OBX after finding out about it through internet searches. I was a bit nervous because the person I went with is experienced in yoga and I have only done it a few times. At the beginning of class, Susan asked everyone what their level of experience was with yoga and if they have any sort of problems areas which require attention. She adjusted poses based on individual's abilities and paid close attention to ensure everyone got something out of every pose. My friend and I enjoyed the partner poses, and I was completely unaware of everything happening on the beach other than the yoga. I definitely recommend beach yoga with Susan, it was a great experience and very calming.

I attended a drop-in class on the beach in Kill Devil Hills. I have been practicing yoga for 15 years and am also a yoga teacher. Susan Krause, the teacher, is friendly and makes everyone feel comfortable. She took time to get acquainted before we started. She has a playful and free-spirited approach to practicing that is perfect on the beach, but at the same time she also knows how to modify for practicing on sand instead of on a stable surface. The class was very fun-loving and playful. I loved practicing and listening to the ocean along with my breath and looking out at the waves. During class, Susan took some beautiful photos of our class that will be a wonderful keepsake. I felt so great and energized after class. Aloha Yoga will definitely be part of my annual trip to the Outer Banks.

This was my first trip to the Outer Banks and first yoga class ever! I was the only person who showed up on the Thursday morning drop-in class, and I was really lucky!! ...I got to have a personalized and super cool first-ever yoga sesh with superwoman Susan. I was a little overwhelmed at first because I had no experience what-so-ever, but she made me feel comfortable and excited for the hour to come. It was a beautiful morning and we pretty much had the beach to ourselves. Susan made me feel so confident in my poses and encouraged me to try more yoga on my own time. She is professional and very down-to-earth. The photos she took of me during our session were priceless and beautiful. I am so grateful to have had her add to the awesomeness of my first trip to the beach. If you are looking for a relaxing and no-pressure yoga class, where you can become one with the ocean-- do not miss Aloha Yoga!! The experience was amazingly peaceful and it was awesome to make a cool new friend! I look forward to going back. :-)

The title if my review is a direct quote from Susan that resonated with me and I have thought of it often since my experience. While vacationing three weeks before my wedding my sister, who found a love for yoga over the past year, wanted to treat me to a yoga session. Susan came to us in Rodanthe and we had an amazing time! Susan helped personalize the experience and teach my sister more advance or modified moves and things that were appropriate for a beginner. I loved doing partner work with my sister and it was the perfect way to decompress right before my wedding. I would highly recommend the amazing experience of yoga on the beach with Aloha Yoga.

My daughter and I wanted to try beach yoga while we were visiting the outer banks. We did an online search and found Aloha Yoga, and it was so fabulous when went to both of the drop-in sessions available during the week we were there! Susan is wonderful. We left refreshed and enthused. I would recommend Aloha Yoga to anyone, at any level. My daughter was a little hesitant because she has never done yoga before, but she had a blast. I've been doing yoga for a while, and it was great having more personal attention than I'm used to!
