While spending a week in Avon, we came across a site for Surfs Up. After watching the video of their clambake bucket, we were sold. The price on the video showed $75 for the #2 which fed 4. We ordered 2. At pickup, we were told the cost was $115 per bucket. The gentleman we dealt with stated that the market had nothing to do with the video, even though it was on their website. We purchased only one, paid cash and he charged us $100 (a good will gesture). The crab, potatoes and corn were delicious. Half of the clams did not open and the shrimp were quite small. I am relating our experience as a warning to others to check the current price before ordering and to check the bucket before cooking.…

Sorry for being late to the party, I’ve been a bit busy. The price in that video is from many years ago, it’s the only video out there but we clearly state it and have it on display. The price of crab legs has gotten outrageous. I’m sorry about the misinformation, but we are doing the best to keep it up to speed, I believe the date of the video is posted with it. I’ve been dreaming about the clambake bucket for a year. I can’t say it was the reason we can back, but high in the list. We got the combo #2 and a extra pound of shrimp to feed a family of 6. The extra pound was not needed. Combo #2 says it feeds four but it handled 6 with no problem. This place is worth 5 stars. Come hungry!!!

We stopped in to this market to grab some shrimp for dinner while on vacation. The two gentlemen working the store were quite possibly the friendliest people I’ve ever met in my life. They were very personable and answered all of my questions. We left with several pounds of deveined, steamed, seasoned shrimp that were fantastic. I will be stopping back to this shop every time I’m in Avon.…
